Getting Current performer name and Date

Hi All,

I have three sections in form where employee will intitate the process

Employee--1-->Direct Manager 2-->Sector manager 3-->HR Manager.

so Whenever the task come to direct manager and the open the form he has to get his name and date automatically.

Ex:DM Name:xxxxx Date:12/12/12

like this each and every manager name has to populate in their sections when they open a form.

Right now i am using the dql adaptor for getting current user name and date but its changing for all the section whoever login to taskspace and open the form ,that login user name is displaying for all managers.

How can we achieve this?

I am afraid that I understand your requirement correctly or not ...

Please let me know you are using which WDK Client ...is it xCP or Webtop

because if you are using xCP then its straight forward that you can create separte taskform for different activity where u can choose on whcih forms u need adaptor or not

and if you are using webtop then i think u are talking about simple xforms that is in your package of process

then u need to customize your adaptor ..there are two ways

1.if its dql adaptor then you need to write some condition like select user_name from dm_user where USER .not if(some inner query to check user group)...where USER is the current logging user in DQL

2.You can write your custom data source adaptor ..there in your java class u can check the logic ...and return the value

if you want to hide and show these two control then u need to write one more data source adaptor

like isUserInGroup which will return value 1 or 0 on basis of that u can hide and show these control

Hi ,

I think the easiest solution would be,

Applying rules on the fields, so that you can be able to hide/ display the details based on the roles.

and if you want managers name displayed then fetch the managers name by using the dql query and based on rules configuration you can acheive the desired functionality.

I am using (Xcp) eform for different activities.

Present i am using the same query, if current user is present in that group then only user name is displaying.

For Direct Manager it will show the name and date,when it comes to sector manager it will show sm name and date(but direct manager name will be null because adaptor will executed when form is initialized).

same for next activity. Now the problem is if once adaptor is executed it should not execute again if we open the form. Like this can we control the adaptors?

Yes we can ..but can you please sent the screent shots of forms and adaptors information it will help to understand requirement better ..

Please also check the Execute adaptor after the input value changes...

or try to add adaptor in Data& Stroage tab

I think this will resolve the issue if still u have same issue then try to create different dataSource adaptor for each controls..

Hi Manish,

In the above two sections (DM,AFA) i cannot assign the adaptor when input value changes. Since Approval radio button is removed so i want to display name when form is initialised.

I created two different adaptors and applied which ever the condition is satisfied only that user name will populate and another name will be blank when it comes to next activity.

any other alternate approach is there to achieve this?

Did you try to add data source adaptor in DATA & STORAG TAB ..and romove same from Speical tab

if its work then ok otherwise
