Hello everyone,
I want to use the folder view control in my task form.
But i get this error "Data binding is mandatory".
And the drop down "Data Binding" is empty.
Am I doing it right??
Thank you all in advance for your help
Mel
yes for data binding is mandatory for "folder View " control in task form
So u need to change in your process ..please add package there in process Data
and that should be subtype of dm_folder
then you can gete that Document Id in task form ...
just check Data model in left hand side ... Activity/ProcessData/Packages/<custom_Package_name>/DocumentId
Hope this will work for you
Please let me know if you have any questions on it
Hi Manishanandswami,
I've added a package, process variable and a structured data type in my process, but still the dropdown "Data Binding" is empty.
Am I doing it right?
Thanks for helping.
Mel.
Did you install forms builder DAR file?
Yes it is installed.
Hi MeIT,
The Folder view Control will be valid only when you have folder package in your process. So Please add the Folder package in your process, then configure your folder package to your folder view in your taskform.
Ok it worked when a folder package is added and mandatory.
Any possible way to make it work without having to put the folder package to mandatory??
thanks for your answer Srinivasan
If its not mandatory, then what is the folder view going to query against? Typically, for case management application, you will create a case folder that will contain elements of case. You dont have to put anything in the case, but you still will have a case folder.
