Hi,
In the WCM space we are seeing mixed signals from EMC so far.
Is EMC working towards a solution in the WCM space or is moving out completely from it? Any thoughts.

Hello, what is your specific question?
Are youa sking for specific WCM product in the EMC IIG stack ?
If you are asking if EMC has a replacement for Web publisher, the answer is no. EMC decided a few years ago, not to continue supporting Web publisher product and partnered with Fatwire if a customer had WCM needs. That partnership was later replaced by SDL in 2011.
Thanks for your replies.
Tridion was later aquired by Oracle so at the moment there is no WCM product on the EMC stack.
So question is: Have EMC decided to move away from WCM? If not, can we expect some sort of direction from them.
It is really diffcult to defend a product stack with DCTM backend and some other vendor's WCM.
Correction, Oracle got Fatwire. Yes, EMC is moving with SDL as WCM but then backend Documentum can be replaced with any other ECM product.
So question is: Have EMC decided to move away from WCM and rely on SDL\any other WCM in case this partnership breaks? If not, can we expect some sort of direction from them.
IMHO - yes. I would contact your EMC sales rep if you need some assistance in defending DCTM backend.
