I'm having a problem with Word document saving in DeskSite 8.1. Any help or suggestions would be very welcome.
The steps to reproduce the error are:
* Open an imported Word document from DeskSite
* Make a change to the document
* Select Save (i.e. non-local save)
* Operating System "Save As" dialog appears prompting the user to save to c:\NrPortbl\1444_1.doc (for example)
* Error message is displayed saying that the document could not be saved (see below for exact text)
Note: If the relevant document in c:\NrPortbl is copied and opened at this point then then it can be seen that the change has actually been written to the local file so the failure is presumably being reported by the WorkSite server.
* If the document is then closed this time without saving then 'QuickView'ed in DeskSite then it can be seen that the document change has been written back to WorkSite.
Client: DeskSite 8.1 on Windows XP with Word2003
Server: WorkSite 8.1 Beta (apparently, although Database Admin reports version 8.0.16) on Windows Server 2003
Notes
Document echoing was on for the DB but is now turned off.
Opening, Editing & Saving an Excel document work fine.
Saving was working OK but has stopped for some unknown reason.
Word 2003 SP1 has been installed and SP2 has been installed and uninstalled.
Error Message:

The save was not completed. This may be because the format selected for the document was not installed, the save was cancelled, or another reason.

Thanks in advance for any help
