Webtop - difference between double click and open read only

Hi,

In webtop, I have seen that when clicking on a file with a double-click and opening it with right button and "Open (Read Only)" cause different actions - each uses different attributes to open the file (the first uses attributes given by the DfSysObject object and the latter uses a DQL query).

Does anyone know why is there a difference and how can make the "Open (read only)" act exactly like a double click?

Like you said, each event you describe is a different WDK action. You can "redefined" an action by modifying the dm_sysobject_actions.xml. Look in the WDK Development guide or Tutorial for more details about actions.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have looked in the development guide and haven't found the action that the double click is associated with.

From the XML and JSP files I understand that the double click isn't associated with an action (since it is not defined in an XML as an actionmenuitem), but defined in JS and JSP.

So now I just can't figure out how to associate the "Open (read only)" button in the menubar and in the context menu to do the same thing.

Any ideas?

double click is handled by javascript.. check the javascript file associated and there must be some server side event being called from the javascript..

Which javascript? I want prevent download action with double-click, how can i do?

you can remove the download action with double_click from the jsp file of the corresponding component, look for the datagridrowevent tag and the event="dblclick" and remove the action="download"
