xcp 2 Deploying - xMS Agent connection failed

ok 2.0 gurus... I am trying to deploy a 2.0 application. Not sure how many out there have done this yet... hopefullly some.

xMS agent is up and running, if go to the webpage for xMS Agent, I get an OK in the xMS-Agent health section... yes, the nice little green OK.

Now, in Designer, I have configured application, and I am ready to deploy it. I was trying to setup a Deployment Environment.

I put in the hostname, port, username ande Password for the xMS agent which is hte same as our repository (and setup in tomcat-users.xml)

However, when we select "Test Connection", we get Connection failed. We are sure the hostname, port, username and password are correct.

Any Ideas??

Hi,

did you try to connect to your XMS-Server Agent using XMS-Tools ?

this will allow your to check if your agent is up and also view the Env. details using XMS command Line.

by default xms agent user is "admin" , in your post you mentionned that you use the same user as in your tomcat-users.xml. can you check if the user/password is the one used to create your env.

I am having the same problem. I am not sure what user id and password I should enter.

1. Is it the xCP application server user id & password defined in tomcat-user.xml ? or

Is it the user id & password defined in the tomcat-users.xml of tomcat xMS-Agent server or

Is it the user id & password defined in the service-endpoint.
