Workflow Variables
kaalraa
Hi there,
I have written a small workflow which has only 3 tasks (cgitask, externaltask and exdtask). First task calls a cgi file in which user puts up the information and submits. After submitting, callback/transition happens and it goes on to the external task which is an IPL file. Now in IPL file.. when i try to retrive the jobID, taskId and workArea.... its not giving anything....
my $jobid = $ARGV[0];
my $taskid= $ARGV[1];
my $area = $ARGV[2];
my $job = TeamSite::WFworkflow->new($jobid);
my $task = TeamSite::WFtask->new($taskid);
my $filePath = $job->GetVariable("JobCreationFile");
I need this, because there are some workflow varibales which are to be picked up. Please provide help... or check the code what i have written is OK or not?

Are you sure your script is being called?
Can you show us in your WFT where you specify the externaltask script?
What version of TeamSite?
What platform?
You should be checking that the object you received from TeamSite::WF...->new() is a valid object (i.e. if (!$task->isValid()){ error logging })

Thanks Fish,
Its done and also retreiving the workflow variables...
Now i am working on to read the DCR using TeamSite:
CRParser and DCR Node and need to know how to do the same. I have to retreive the following values, but the issue is i dont know the number of replicants.
Product Descriptions:
{PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_REPLICANT[1]/PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_AUDIENCE_TEXT}
{PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_REPLICANT[1]/PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION}
{PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_REPLICANT[2]/PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_AUDIENCE_TEXT}
{PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION_REPLICANT[2]/PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION}
If possible, please reply as how to get the number of replicants.

I suggest you read the perldocs for those modules - look at things that contain the word "list"
