Hi,
When an asset without a preview icon is send (through the webclient), we would like the email to show a different image from the InterWoven image.
Any ideas whether this is possible and how ?

Yes. This can easily be accomplished by swapping out the standard logo gif. Replace the file Logo.gif in the templates\images folder in your MediaBin web client installation directory.

Hi MediaBin_MTS,
That is the easy solution. Actually we have a setup where some users get a modified web UI, then when administrators logon. It is also for these users we would like a custom image to show in the email when a proper image is not associated with the asset in question.

It all works fine in the UI, showing the image that we have created.

It sounds like you've also substituted your own thumbnail image for the Interwoven image used for an asset that is a type not recognized by MediaBin. We call that a "generic" asset. The email asp file uses PreviewImage.asp to get the thumbnail for an asset. This is the same page used when browsing, to also determine what thumbnail to display. To change the thumbnail used for a "generic" asset to your custom one, swap out the following files with your own: images\empty_image16x16.jpg, empty_image32x32.jpg, empty_image64x64.jpg, empty_image128x128.jpg, empty_image256x256.jpg, empty_image284x284.jpg, empty_image512x512.jpg.

I'm assuming you've already done the above.
