XCP 2.0 - login page

In designer, we don't see any provision to modify the login page. From a EMC slide presentation for the insurance gig, I see they have done it. In Designer, its not obvious. Has anyone done this yet? Intuitvelyl, I would think it would be on Application Tab->Model, or User Interface-Master. But its not in either location, not the options below it that we can see. We are hoping to not have to break into the code. We would expect this to be something via Designer.

Hi,

It can be only achieved by the custom themes,

In your custom theme we need to modify the corresponding css image file and

later add that jar file to application model,

updating via out of box can't be achievable as per the extension points.

Are you qble to change the login screen now? I am facing the same issue. There should be an accelerator for this

We haven’t tried since… we have other bigger fish/issues right now to deal with on this project, but at some point, we have to get back to this. I have seen demo’s that have custom login screens, so it has to be possible, but I haven’t seen any material on a supported way to extend it. They are coming out w their 1st developer course in a few weeks. Maybe that will have info on a supported way to customize this. -Kyle

using extension point whitepaper, I managed to change the screen by creating a custom theme. But saw in Reliable EMC ppt demo that the customize the login jsp and add reference to new custom CSS overriding the default login image

As mentioned in the previous post, you can achieve this by creating a custom theme

the CSS Class that has be to be override is :

.signin-panel .signin-logo-panel .x-panel-body {

background: url("/<Put your Application root Folder Name>/Artifacts/Resources/<Your Logo>.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent !important;

}
