XCP 2.0 - passing a value from one page to another

Anyone know how to pass a value from one page to anotherPass values from one page to another page. In old WDK apps, we can pass through arguments in coding. How can we do the same? Now we can only pass values in a data service, it seems (button), need to pass from menu's not just buttons.
