looking into 2.0
A big pain (amoung many others), is that we can't seem to use embedded forms like we did in xcp 1.6. We have about 20 workflows, with about 20 avg activities per workflow. That is around 400 min activities all together. On the task form, in 1.6, we had a tab group. On the 1st tab, we had things particular to the task/activity. On the rest of the tabs, we had case folder information, logging screens, and other information related to the case. Each of the other tabs were embedded forms. This made development much quicker. We build 1 form, then re-use it in all 400+ activities as an embedded form. With 2.0, this ability of re-use is now gone.
We are not seeing any equivalent ability that forms builder had. Arrgg. We see in the customization WP (or may have been the beta self-paced tutorial, don't recall off the top) we can add a custom widget. We are going to explore that. I know XCP is fresh out, and not many have yet played with it, but I am hoping some of you have enough usage with Designer now that maybe you can offer anothor althernative or better idea.
