Disable Form Validation when closing form

Dear All,

I have a Document View Template that is embedded within a task template. The document view template contains an SBO validator that is triggered upon form submission. The issue is that when the user closes or rejects the task that contains the document view template, form validator is triggered which should not be the case.

Any suggestions on how to trigger form validator only in case the user is accepting the task?

Our workaround was to create a checkbox called "Ready To Submit" and then tied the validation against this adaptor.

My issue is not that the form is submitted before being ready, but, it is because form is being submitted when rejecting a task.

Let's re-formulate the question, how to detect the button that has caused the form to be submitted from within the code of the form validator?

Same answer. We validate if the the checkbox is checked or not. If its checked, then this is done explicitly by the user and not by code.
