xCP 2.0 Custom Widget Development Environment Setup

Hi All,

I'm attempting to create a custom widget and would like to know what is the preferred ide to utilize in order to do this.

In reviewing the DemoToolbox sample shared in ask the experts section I see comments in the code "this fails when running outside xCP"

So now I would like to know how can I run my widgets outside of xCP and how do I setup and configure a Widget development environment.

Eclipse is the one I was recommended and I think that is the IDE which is recommended in the xCP Developers Course

Unfortunately EMC did not expose the project setup neither eclipse or IDEA to the developers. We can use any ide and write ant/gradle plugins to create the folder, file structure required for the widget.

Dont forget to check the xCP documentation where you can find on debugging the widget section. It is **** useful when you are developing xcp widget.

respecting the folder structure and the manifst file content you can use maven/ant for your project.
