Wildcards not working in simple search in Webtop

We are using Webtop 6.6 with xPlore. When we search for documents in Simple Search we get expected results. However, wildcards are not working.

E.g. a search for a document named testing_123.doc yields the following results:

Search string: testing_123 (works correctly)

Search string: testing (works correctly)

Search string: test* (does NOT return any results).

We tried the same pattern in DA and it works. We have not customized the search functionality of Webtop.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Dctmpro,

By default xPlore don't support wildcard on full text search, it is just supported in metadata.

To enable wildcard search ,set fast_wild_compatible to true in the dm_ftengine_config object.

I am assuming you have not configured this parameter yet, so following IAPI will work fine for you.

retrieve,c,dm_ftengine_config

append,c,l,param_name

fast_wildcard_compatible

append,c,l,param_value

true

save,c,l
