DB2 access from inline

I have a CGI program that uses my perl module to call a DB2 stored procedure. It runs fine from a TeamSite menu item but will not run from an <inline>. This seems to be related to problems cited in TechArticle 2118 on Interwoven's Developer Network. I need to know what environment variables must be set to get the DBD:B2 module working.

Again I'm trying to call a DB2 stored procedure from an <inline>. When I do this the program just hangs. No output whatsoever.

As I recall - inline scripts completely remove all environment variables except a few IWOV-specific ones -- this includes things like PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or whatever it's called), etc.

So - you would need to figure out what environment variables are in place when you call your module from a custom menu item and then replicate them - either in your inline script - or probably better - inside your DB2 module itself. Something like:BEGIN {
$ENV{PATH} ||= "the-minimal-path-info-you need";
$ENV{LD_LIBRARY_PATH} ||= "...";
...
};
use DBD:B2;
... The ||= construct should only assign the information on the right to the variable on the left if the variable on the left is empty or not-defined - so if you already have a PATH environment - it's a no-op. If you don't have a PATH environment - it will perform the assignment.
