D2 Copy link inconsistency

I have noticed that in D2 4.0, if I use the copy link feature, the URL takes me to the correct location as expected.

However, if I copy the link from the address bar it does not always behave as expected and will sometimes take me to the D2 mainpage, even though the URLs are the exact same value.

The main reason why this is a problem is because I am integrating with another application and need to be able to dynamically construct the URL.

Anyone have any advice on how to get this to work without using the copy link feature?

Strange behaviour, the URL generated should be something like :

http /server:port/D2-Client/?locate=<objectId>

(here is a sample with more details : http /server:port/D2-Client?locate=0b0a308c80007159&locatePath=%2FDocbase1%2Fnode_cabinets%2F0c0a308c80006d4f%2F0b0a308c80007159)

Did anyone find the solution to this URL issue. I am using D2 4.1 and when I copy link of a document and then paste it in the URL, D2 login screen comes and after login usual home page is coming without locating the document.

Also I tried locating using http /server:port/D2-Client/?locate=<objectId> but the result is same.

I want to be able to locate using object_name so that it gives the current version every time (like intelligent URL in 4.2). Do you have an idea how this feature can be implemented in 4.1 client.
