VFE: Using external CSS files
Homeslice
Hello,
So as to force content standardization across documents, I have linked VFE to an external cascading style sheet. All the available styles listed in the CSS file appear in a drop-down box in the VFE UI, so that the user may choose at will. Also, this also satsifies our requirement that all formatting be handled by SPAN tags pointing to various CSS classes.
Here's where the problem crops up... To maintain separation between the CSS and the generated HTML, the publishstyles attribute is set to false. In other words, the final document needs a <link> tag pointing to the CSS file (this is handled by the TPL file). To avoid duplication, I would like for eWebEditPro to link to the same instance of the CSS file used by the TPL; however, eWebEditPro doesn't seem to be able to link to a file residing outside its own program directory, let alone a file on the TeamSite content store. Has anyone else run into this issue? According to documentation, the href attribute should be able to accomodate any absolute path.
Has anyone out there run into this problem?
TS and eWebEditPro (VF) are both running on a Windows 2003 Server box.

I beleive that you are mixing the css files that are used in the process of data entry with the CSS files in the site.
It looks like the duplication is inevitable. however, somebody might correct me
