Has anyone out there worked with extrapolating documents from WorkStie 8.0 through a network of web services? I've been able to prove that a custom middleware piece using the SDK on an NT server will work with a .NET web service passing on a request received from a WebLogic client on a Unix box. I am not, however, passing a collection of requested objects directly. I am instead, writing the objects out (via the middleware piece) to a shared directory.
I am about to write a web method which will pass the object collection back to the calling client. From what I've read, it looks like I'll need to encode the objects in the middleware piece first before streaming them over. Does anyone have any advice on how best to approach this solution?
