D2 4.1 Browser Widget - Hiding of cabinets/folders

Hi,

By default, browser widget displays all the cabinets in the repository.

I can hide the unwanted cabinets/folders by changing the respective ACL from DA.(Specifically givining NONE permission to WORLD)

Is there any possibilities for hiding the specific cabinet/folder through D2-config, without altering the exisitng ACL on cabinets/folders?

Also how do we use treeview in D2 4.1

Hi,

As far as I know, you can only hide nodes (Tasks, Administration...) with the treeview. To use it you just have to create the corresponding config element in D2-Config.

What's your specific needs Vikras ?

Which cabinet you want to hide ? May be you can also use the is_private or is_hiddent metadata in each dm_cabinet ?

I'd go the way Julien suggests. If you set NONE to a system cabinet, the whole shabang might crash for the users, however, you can hide it...

I would like to hide Resources and System cabinets from browsertree.

I've tried to use Security but those cabinets need to be at least viewable and I'm getting errors (Preferences,...)

Does setting a_is_hidden to TRUE would work ?

Indeed, that's the way to proceed, hide them

PS: I'd recommend not to piggy back on an old post because you might miss some visibility. lots of people might assume that it's old and therefore answered. Next time, I recommend to create a new thread for your questions
