Tip: working with Tomcat servlets under IIS
JTNeville
These are two files located in (or somewhere else if you changed the isapi_redirect reg file)
\$mpTomcatRoot$\WEB-INF\config\jk\iis\
uriworkermap.properties
workers.properties
In the uriworkermap.properties file you add your custom servlets.
In example (/virtualRoot/pathToServlet/servletName/=workerThread):
/worksitemp/servlets/yourCustomServlet=$(default.worker)
or (for a more generic approach)
/worksitemp/servlets/*=main
If you were hosting multiple virtual containers all using the same servlets or working in the root containers your would create and edit these two files in the $tomcatHome$\conf\ folder.
This is above and beyond installing the servlet itself in Tomcat, copying any files over and editing the web.xml file.

Good tip, I would like to add a small note to this. This is assuming that all of your servlet URIs (configured in in web.xml) start with a common path like '/servlets/" in the example provided above. If that is not the case, you will have to provide individual URI mappings.
