Sign out from a xCP 2.0 application

Hello.

I need to expose a custom action to sign out from a xCP 2.0 application because the standard way via User Session Control. This widget is too complex for the end users: they don't need to change role and some of them don't know what is a workflows: they just need to logout from the app.

Is there an easy way to sign out from an xCP 2.0 app?

I found the solution: easy!

Just create a link (via an image widget for example) to the url http://<server>:<port>/<xcp app name>/ j_spring_security_logout

How to do it on button click, can you give us details steps.

My requirement is on the click of button user will signout or close the window.

It isn't possible in xCP 2.0 without a custom button widget that can call a URL. The only option is with an image link.

Other option is to use "Custom button" provided in the Demo Tool box xcelerator. It has the ability to call URLs

As Nick King said you can do it via by placing an image link and mapping the url accordingly.

Thanks Nick, I did some workaround by implementing different business logic.

we can use functions for getting the application url rather than passing it as a parameter/hard-coding one
