xcp 2.0 user preferences

How can I access settings page in xcp designer ?

I need to modify the list of users being fetched for workflow delegation. Currently, by default all the users in the repository is shown but I want to list only specific users. Is there a way to modify this ?

Hi prabhu,

Unfortunately xCP2.0 doesn't allow you to modify this page (but there is a way to hide the menu though)

Thanks for the response.

I do not want to hide the settings page because the application should let users to auto delegate their tasks.

If i cannot modify the settings page, can i create one? If so, which object model should i update in order to set those preferences ?

Could you let me know how to hide user-->settings menu? I don't see this control exposed in designer for confuguration.

Are you on xCP 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2? You can't modify the widget itself, only hide / remove the entire widget, but in 2.1 / 2.2 there are UI events that you can use to update the settings from your own custom settings page.

Our app is on xCP 2.1 Patch. when you say custom settings page , we have to build it as an application page ? Are there related OOTB data services ?

Yes that's right. You build an application page to act as the user-settings page. You can put whatever options you want on this page (all of the user settings or just a couple). There are several OOTB data services that can be used to populate things like the network locations.

On the UI Events tab you subscribe to the On Preferences Load event in order to read the current settings, and publish the On Preferences Save event (on the click of a button) to update the users settings:

When you click Next you see the user settings values. On Preferences Load is similar.

You can just delete the widget altogether and put a logout hyperlink in the menu bar somewhere
