LiveSite: Prodn Deployment Configuration

Hello,

I am seeking information about the process of deployment from LS development environment to LS production environment. Both the environments are configured/ installed on the same system. I followed the instructions in the LS docs provided but am unable to verify deployment to Production environment. On accessing the Production web server, request is forwarded to the error JSPthat displays "The site you requested (/) is invalid. Please select a site and a combo that contains no site information.

I have been able to create Components and templates.


Please advice

Windows 2000, TS6.5 SP1, Livesite 2.1 and Tomcat5.0 as production web server.

Well, from the sounds of it, it's not getting deployed properly. You can check a few things...

1) Production LiveSite logs: ENDUSERHOME/tomcat/logs/livesite.enduser.log

It'll have errors in here possibly.. alternatively, you can chnage the log4j.xml in WEB-INF/conf ( i think -- somewhere in WEB-INF ) to DEBUG for com.interwoven.livesite and you'll see all the sites as they are loaded when tomcat starts. That'll tell you what's loaded/there.

Also, there should be a "sites" folder in WEB-INF.. do you see that? Is it possibly in the web root? Post the contents of the webroot/webinf here if you need more info on this.

2) OD logs: ODHOME/log/*.log ... should be something there.

Check those out and post errors if you see any..
