Restart Content Server vs Restart Environment

Hi All,

I understand that repository is a managed unit of content and metadata storage and includes areas on the file system and a database AND Content Server serves this content to applications, which in turn provide friendly interfaces to human users.

Now, my question is how can we stop JUST the content server i.e. not stopping the repository, docbroker etc just the content server process which is the running process that resides in memory and serves content at run time.

What is the name of this process on windows/linux?

You cannot stop a content server without stopping the repository unless you have a failover/secondary content server to run the repository.

look for a process that is owned by dmadmin and has an executable path that includes the name of the repository and the server.ini file. I don;t have an example right at the moment to include here.
