Documentum tbo cache issue for DA

HI all,

I have written an TBO for dm_document which i am using for content server version - 6.6.0.041 Win32.SQLServer .

I have DA and WEBTOP deployed on TOMCAT that points to my content server.

The problem that i am facing is that the TBO gets invoked while using WEBTOP but not when i use DA.

It only works for DA under on condition when i install the tbo when DA is running. But if i clear the bof cache from <TOMCAT_INSTALLATION>\DOCUMENTUM\CACHE folder then it stop working for DA, but works fine for webtop at the same time.

Also if i install the tbo when DA is not running (tomcat is down) then also it doesn't work.

I have checked the number of jars inside bof cache when it works and when not, and there is the difference in number of jars that got cached.

I have tested it using da and webtop version 6.6 and 6.7.

Any help on this issue ?

Can check if the global registry password is correct in the DA's dfc.properties

At the outset, I am not aware of the fact tht you can write TBOs for default document types (eg: dm_document)

The recommendation (AFAIK with the older versions of DCTM) is to derive a subtype from the default DCTM object type and then write TBO onfor the custom type.

If it is indeed a new feature - then check the "content.xml" in the bof cache folder of your apache.

Does it have any entry relating to your bof jar ?? The jars are downloaded whenever the runtime detects that there is change in the bof jar on the repository.(eg: r_object_id because of a new jar or i_v_stamp change because of the jar has been saved/versioned... etc)

Removing this bof cache (along with the content.xml can retrigger download of the BOF jars.
