Help to make a dfc checkin code

Hello Experts,

I am new to Documentum DFC code and I created a dfc code to check out a document and it worked properly. But now I want to check in

the same file with a new file that is present in my local pc's drive with dfc code. I have tried to search it but didn't find any good as well as easy answers.

I will be grateful to you, if some one provides me guidance here.

try this code.

IDfDocument dfDoc = (IDfDocument) idfSession.getObject(new DfId(r_object_id));

// check-out the document

dfDoc.checkOut();

// check-in the document

dfDoc.setFile("Full path of your file");

dfDoc.setContentType("Format name"); // only if  your file format is not the same as the previous one

dfDoc.setObjectName("File name"); // only if you want to change the file name

IDfVersionPolicy vp = dfDoc.getVersionPolicy();

IDfId dfnewid = dfDoc.checkin(false, vp.getNextMajorLabel() + ",CURRENT"); // checkin as next major version. (e.g. 1.0 => 2.0)

or

IDfId dfnewid = dfDoc.checkin(false, vp.getNextMinorLabel() + ",CURRENT"); // checkin as next minor version. (e.g. 1.0 => 1.1)

or

IDfId dfnewid = dfDoc.checkin(false, vp.getSameLabel() + ",CURRENT"); // checkin as same version. (overwrite)
