Problem during loading the dump file ( Dump and Load ) from 6.5 to 6.7sp1

Hi All,

im trying to load the dump which i extracted from source docbase, it created without any errors

and i ran preload utility and there we re no issues in that utility

now if i try to load the dump file im facing the following error

[DM_OBJ_MGR_E_SAVE_FAIL]error: "save failed for object with handle 1201c42f80000502 of type dm_group: table on which save failed was dm_group_r; error from database system was End of fetch "

Kindly help need the answer at the earliest

Dump and load is not a supported method of taking data from a 6.5 to 6.7 SP1 repository. Most likely, there is a problem with the i_position of one of the dm_group related tables.

See the Content Server Installation Guide, there is a chapter "Creating a repository copy to test and upgrade" that details the supported method of upgrading a repository.

can we do a dump of a folder removing the groups and users associated with them as the error is more on the dm_group issue?

No. You cannot dump without user references, or load without user references.

If you want to try to fix the underlying issue with your dm_group (assuming it is related to i_position), use Support Note esg7546.
