how to integrate drl links with other application to access webtop folders

Hi Experts,

We have requirement when the drl link is clicked from other application then silent login into the webtop and access the particular folders based on user priveliges and objectid.Anyone suggest me how to achieve requirement.

Hi,

You can create a DRL that includes more parameters. For example the following link would automatically login the user:

http://hostname:port/webtop/drl/objectId/<id>/username/<username>/docbase/<docbase>/ticket/<dmticket>

Off course, you would need to generate a login ticket for the user when you are providing the DRL. If this cannot be done in your case then you would need to use another authentication scheme or develop your own.

The DRL component tries to authenticate the user using any authentication scheme that is defined in "AuthenticationSchemes.properties". The link above uses the TicketedAuthenticationScheme but others are configured. If none of them match your needs you can develop a new one. For example, you could develop a scheme that logs a user without any password but that would obviously be insecure.

Can i implement LDAP Authentication for accessing above drl from other application.Otherwise could you please provide any other alternative authentication approach.

Hello again,

The answer to your question is "yes" but you need the user's password to perform the LDAP authentication. I thought you didn't want users to enter their password because otherwise the default behavior - having to login - works just fine.

To allow a DRL that automatically authenticates the user you must ask yourself: How can I automatically identify a particular user, in my case? I cannot answer that question for you.
