Storing code behind for asp.net

Has anyone found a solid solution to storing the code behind files for asp.net files so that they are accessible from workareas? We would like to keep them available somewhere in teamsite for all developers on team to edit when needed, but do not want to risk having them deployed to other environments. We were looking at using Clearcase as an alternative, but this is not ideal from a business process perspective. Any suggestions?
