DM_SESSION_E_AUTH_FAIL in xCP 2.0 xms

Hello Guys,

I am trying to test an application in xcp 2.0. However,   when I try to run the application it throws DM_SESSION_E_AUTH_FAIL exception in xCMs agent- server (don't know what it is just the one on application server) and the client says failed to execute goal bla bla bla.

Now, I see that the server uses wrong login name. The log says failed to authenticate user default against my docbase. So , I tried to rename the user using the xms tools. It said the new object has been successfully queued/ please restart xms server.

I restarted the application server (Tomcat) and no luck. The user name is still the same and the error is the same.

Please help.

Could you please tel me the location of the file so that I could modify it manually. I tried to search the file with windows search and it did not work as usual

At previous post I wrote about %CATALINA_HOME%/conf/context.xml, just check it does not contain antiJARLocking="true" and antiResourceLocking="true" parameters.

The xms tools are almost useless. I can't delete and entry, modification does not work either.

You're absolutely right about reliability of GUI, try to use CLI interface, at least it's able to import configuration from xml file, see example:

Can't expect such a product from such a huge company

EMC thinks that they improve something, by can't say what they improve.
