D2 4.1, Workflow manager activity performer - Some user from a group behaviour?

Hi,

I create a simple workflow with 2 tasks Review and Approve in Workflow manager with performer set to "Some users from a group" to be resolved by alias.

In D2, while configuring workflow the alias is populated with a DQL - select user_name from dm_user where r_is_group=0

So at runtime D2 creates a group on the fly and adds the participants to it. This generates 1 queueitem and 1 workitem.

Hence even though the task was supposed to be performed by some users, it appears in multiple inboxes but as soon as someone finishes the task it proceeds. Its behaving similar to Single user from a group I believe

How can this be corrected? The transition condition is set to all performers as well.

Any inputs? With D2 then whats best to use if multiple users have to perform the task with option to change participants in the middle?

It's not clear from documentation. "Some users from group" means following: you are able to assign the same task to multiple performers (does not matter user or group) and those performers will work in parallel, if group is assigned the only one user is able to complete the task. So, the name of this scenario should be "Multiple parallel performers" to avoid confusing.

If you create group dynamically (actually it's a wrong pattern) you should chose "All users from group" scenario.
