D2 4.0/4.1 configuration naming rules

Hi,

Is there a naming rules link for 4.0/4.1 with widget and workspace etc.?

Is this really useful as in most D2 videos I don't see it being followed.

Most projects I don't think create multiple applications so is the application code really beneficial?

I am new to D2, but based on your experience what is the ideal naming convention? Just plain english with no special characters or this naming helps in better understanding as well as in D2 specs?
