DD 5.6 Nested Replicant Problem

I am trying to deploy nested replicants to a Oracle database. It works if I specify only one level of replicants. But when I specify both levels, it says Deploy Done but doesn't do any update in the database entries

This is how the problematic portion of my DD schema looks like:

It works if I have productLeftNav/0/topLevelReplicant/0/subLevelReplicant/[0-8]/subLabel/0 or productLeftNav/0/topLevelReplicant/[0-8]/subLevelReplicant/0/subLabel/0 but when I have productLeftNav/0/topLevelReplicant/[0-8]/subLevelReplicant/[0-8]/subLabel/0 this does not work.

DD does not throw any error, it says deployment successful but doesn't update any database entry.

What am I missing here?

PA_LEFTNAV_DETAIL does not have any primary key, could that be part of the issue?

After doing some reading on this, I found out:

If an attrmap element inside a group element has more than one column definition
whose value-from-field attribute is set to a replicant field, the value for the specified
value-from-field must have the same root element.

So I guess now I know what the problem is- different value-from-field in the same "subLevel" group had different roots. I'll just add another ID field under my subLevel replicant that corresponds to its parent top level replicant ID.

A different approach to this problem, or any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

But it looks like you are using the same root "productLeftNav". So why are you saying that the root is a problem?

Leftnav_ID's replicant root is: productLeftNav/0/topLevelReplicant/0/subLevelReplicant/[0-8]/ whereas Leftnav_Detail_Id's replicant root is:

productLeftNav/0/topLevelReplicant/[0-8]/subLevelReplicant/[0-8]/, which is one level down. According to DD 5.6 manual, these two replicant root

needs to be of the same level.
