DFS server error - [DM_API_E_DOCBASE_SCOPE_ID]

I am uploading a file to documentum using DFS productivity layer.

The code works well in test environments but when running it against prod environment i get the following error:

System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.SerializableException]: "Create" operation failed for object: [9120004.pdf] [id =null] PROPERTIES [a_content_type=pdf|object_name=9120004.pdf|subtype=21]. [DM_API_E_DOCBASE_SCOPE_ID]error: "Could not connect to docbase. Docbase id 655122 could not be found." (Fault Detail is equal to Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.SerializableException).

Docbase id 655122 is the docbase of the test environment - and it is certainlly not the docbase i am addressing in this case.

Why does the dfs server look for the wrong docbase id?

Have you hardcoded some parameter in the code? Usually this error means that either you're connection parameters are wrong or you are trying to use an object id from another repository.
