Bad Protocol 'tcp'

I have a few line of code which will go and make a request to JSP file and output of that JSP File is in HTML .

below is the code

my $browser = LWP::UserAgent->new;

$browser->env_proxy;
my $url = "http://servername/iw-cc/query/query23.jsp";
my $req = HTTP::Request->new(POST => $url);

my $res = $browser->request($req);
if ($res->is_success) {

}

print $res->status_line;
}

I don't understand what's wrong in this code that it returns me with
"500 CAN'T CONNECT TO SERVERNAME:80 (BAD PROTOCOL 'TCP')" error message

See my answer to your other post. You do not need to do this to access that JSP page.

I can't understand why you would do this.. why arent you just making the request directly from the browser, or redirect the browser to that request if it's comming from somewhere else.

You might want to explain what you are trying to achieve in a logical sense because I think you're missing a few points on the technology front based on your last few posts.

i tried doing the same thing similiar to what you have up above because i thought i could have an answer for you....
i thought i had got something to work similiar before but i get the same error that you do "500 CAN'T CONNECT TO SERVERNAME:80 (BAD PROTOCOL 'TCP')" error message. Does anyone else have any suggestions ? Suggestions are very helpul.
