Deleting a folder
avlawuk
Hi,
We having trouble deleting a folder. Sound like a simple operation however it has got me stumped.
I log in as Master and navigate to the branch. In here we have a structure like:
Workarea
.....folder
.....folder
..............folderb
.........................data
................................folder c
................................folder d
................................folder e
A user has moved folders like folder c to be in folder d. This is fine. However, if they move the files within folder e, to a child of folder d then attempt to delete folder e, the folder doesnt actually delete.
Next to the folder is a little icon labelled "marked for deletion". No matter how many times we submit the change, it never goes away. Does anyone know how to get rid of these folders? Must admit I have never seen anything like this- normally my folders just disappear with no problems at all.

Did you try overriding conflicts on your submit ?

Have you submitted all the files / folders moved or copied? If NO... then definitely its a problem due to the inbuilt versioning system of Interwoven.
Still after submitting you caught out with same error.... just raise an ticket with Support people.

Hi,
Well I am very thankful for your replies- very useful!
The problem was my browser - something really odd happened. My IE still shows these folders however viewing with FireFox shows them as gone. Just checked with a developer and he confirms that the folders I want deleted have gone. Very strange indeed - but saying that my whole machine is very odd!
Thanks all - if my IE problem continues, I'll go to support :-)
Merry Christmas

Assuming you're in 6.x - in CCPro - make sure you select
View > All Files
and *not*
View > All and Deleted Files
I believe the latter will show you all "holes" (files that were versioned but have since been deleted) whereas the former will only show "holes" for versioned files that have been deleted but not yet submitted.
