Passing arguments to VDMlist Component

Hi Experts,

I am calling the vdmlist component to display the virtual documents from one of my custom component. The argument passed to virutual document looks in a format 0c01633480006daa.0b01633480007e90.0b016334800125af.vdoc:090163348032e77d::::090163348032e77d.vdoc:090163348032e77d:0000000000000009:9:05016334801f9b7c:09016334802179e8

Does any one give me an idea code snippet shot which helps to pass arguments like this. I am very new to virtual document customizations.
