eRoom 7.4.3 Unable to cut the item because one of its children is reserved

Hi Dear Documentum Experts

We are on Documentum 6.6 and eRoom 7.4.3.

Our eRoom application synchronizes with Documentum and in  one of our current eRooms the object limit is reaching. So we usually cut the files and paste them in a new eRoom. We have been doing this for a while.

Recently, we came across this issue(See Attachment) while cutting one of the parent folders that has subfolders and files.

Error: Unfortunately, eRoom was unable to cut the 03900-03999 item, because one of its children is reserved.

Notes: At the time of the error some of the documents in the repository in Documentum were checked out. But we have safely canceled the check out for all the ones which were checked out. Still we get the same error while trying to cut the items in eRoom.

Please share any ideas that may help.

This issue was resolved. And the fix was really interesting.

Even though, we canceled checkout for the documents in Documentum but still eRoom was displaying the above message.

The fix was:

After canceling checkout in Documentum, we need to actually try accessing the document in eRoom by simply browsing the document(Do not have to open it). This removed the lock that eRoom has placed which was there before the checkout.
