Older Module still being called

Hi there,

I am going thru a very different problem. I have a CGI file which is calling a Perl module abc.pm from a directory bin/A dir. Now when i copied the same perl module in another directory in bin/B. I have also included both these directories path in @INC variable.

Now the problem i am facing is when i initiate the CGI file... it always calls the module from the older which bin/A whereas i want this to be called from bin/B

Make sure your paths are correct.

Are you using some workflow to submit your files to STAGING? If yes then you may need to submit it first.

when you copied your abc.pm file to a different directory, did you change the package declaration in either copy? if not, then that's why it's always pulling the original one, since that directory is undoubtedly first in the search/include pathing...

if you want to include both abc.pm modules, they need to be different package names...like ABC and ABCNew so that you can do "use ABC" and "use ABCNew"...

or if you want to leave your CGI as-is, just rename the package in the older abc.pm to something else, say ABCOld and the CGI script will then not be using it...

I was alright on my part.. but i was calling one another module written by other guy which in turns call the module from older directory. But now all working fine...

If you're using 6.x - you should really put your modules into IWHOME/iw-perl/site/lib/ - that way you don't have to muck with your @INC path at all.
