DataDeploy 6.0 Dates & IBM DB2

Does anybody know how you have to define the column in your configuration file to get DataDeploy to write to a DB2 Date field? In my configuration file I currently have it defined as <column name="EFF_DT" data-type="DATE" data-format="yyyy-MM-dd" value-from-element="CNT_RECORD/0/MAIN/0/EFF_DT/0" allows-null="yes" is-url="no"/> but am receiving the following error message from DataDeploy "ERROR:Exception occured: String index out of range: 10".

Check the value of the DCRfield CNT_RECORD/0/MAIN/0/EFF_DT/0 it should have atleast 10 chars.
