How to index teamsite branch
sabih
In the CCP user guide "Searching Content" it say :
"To initiate a search, you must first navigate to a branch that is indexed."
But it doesn't say how to index a branch. Can anyone help me out here?
thanks

well for starting, lookin the search manual. You need to index that in branches.cfg

Check the manual for details:
TeamSite® Administration Guide
, such as file "ts.650.admin.unix.pdf".
Pay attention to this section: Indexing Branches.
When a new TeamSite branch is to be indexed, the branch can be indexed in two ways.
- The branch may be specified in the iwsearch_home/etc/branches.cfg file and then
the index manager may be started. The index manager picks up the branch name during
startup time and indexes the branch.
- The branch can be specified in a CLT that specifies to the index manager that the
relevant branch that is to be indexed.
