The Problem.
Hi,
we are having some issue on a customer side: we are using Syncplicity to share document within the EPFM solution with the Transmittal functionality, but we are having the error that you can read in attachment: "Error occurred during upload and share to Syncplicity server : The Syncplicity server response was a NOT OK Http status code : 504 ".
The user that send the transmittal is dms.notifications@gruppomg.com
We found a possible cause of this error: by default the EPFM Syncplicity Accelerator, upload all Transmittal Folders in the Syncplicity root folder.
For each new uploaded folder the Syncplicity Web Service(API), that is used in Accelerator is trying to obtain all folders/files from location where the new folder will be located.
For the dms.notifications@gruppomg.com this list of folders is very big and sometimes this request goes in timeout, even in browser.
How it is possible to fix this issue?
For a temporary solution: is it possible to move all the transmittal folders in a single folder without creating any issue on the customer side?
Is this a bug?
A solution that we can image, it is to group transmittals by month i.e. after each month a new folder (04.2014) will be created and transmittal will be located in that folder, in order to decrease the size of folder list returned by API. Is it possible or is there another solution?
In attachment there is the error log file and the code that we are using.
I hope someone can help me on this.
Thanks
