Hiding FOlders in the Workarea

Hi All,

plaform: TS 6.5 on Solaris.

I need to hide folders in the Workarea for users based on their access rights.
For e.g. In my WA I have 3 folders (f1,f2. f3)and there are 2 users A and B.
User A should have rights only to folder f1 and f2. and User B has access to f3.

f1, f2 and f3, are owned by iwadmin and shared by diff groups:
f1: grp1
f2:grp1
f3:grp2

These groups are unix groups.
hence gto ive access to users, User A is part of grp1
User B is part of grp2

The access rights work pretty neat, however I am not abl to HIDE f3 from user B and vice -versa.
This seems to be a very common requirement and I hope there isnt any rocket science to achive this .

Any pointers?

Using permissions, I think you would need to revoke read access on the parent folder if you don't want them to see the subfolder at all.

In previous TS installations I've seen, we've just opted for revoking read access on the folder itself, in which case it appears "greyed out".

Or would it be better solution for you to have each section of the site in two separate sub-branches? This is often the level at which groups of users are divided.
