Hi,
Can you Elaborate more on your question.
What you want and what you have done.

I have created a data capture template in the teamsite. The end user can fill the data in this template and generate a output html file and save in the workarea for later submittion. The steps is done manually.
Now I want the steps are more like wizard. For example, when the user save the input data and click the next step, the teamsite will prompt to generate a output html file.

Hi,
Ya you can do this by using CSSDK i.e content services software development kit.
Go throught that and uicg.650.cg document.
This will help to acheive your objective.

CSSDK provides no API for templating, it won't help you.
You will do this via a script (callserver, menu item, external task etc) that calls either iwgen or iwpt_compile depending on your needs.
If you search the forums, there are a number of discussions on this.

This can't be done in teamsite content center?
Can the generate function call by workflow?

Hi,
you can write a workflow with a external task which calls a script e.g. named generate.ipl
This generation perl script does all necessary things to generate your output page correctly.

But I am not familiar in Perl pragramming, have you any successful example ?
Thanks !

For WF creation and external task config:
see workflow manual
For page generation perl script:
see directory \iw-home\local\config\wft\examples (it's shipped with TS6.5)
There's an sample external perl script given, which can be the basis of your work.
Within this script you could start a page generation with iwpt_compile command (see command line tools manual for more info)

Thanks !
The teamsite document say that "An external program does not have to be written in Perl!".
Have anybody tried?

In
theory
, you could write your external tasks in whatever language you want and use either CSSDK, command line tools, or a combination thereof to interact with TeamSite to do things like get/set workflow variables, call transitions, and so on. In fact, if you look at the guts of TeamSite::WFworkflow or TeamSite::WFtask, you'll see that they are basically wrappers for the CLTs.
That said, if you did go down that route, good luck ever getting anybody to help you out or finding anyone else to support what you've built if you move along.
