stop-start eventsubsystem

Hi ! All
Help me Please !
I have some problem about OPENJMS.DB is very big size. I read some detail from Support about "Remove the Event Subsystems Default Database"
It tell me --> Stop the event subsystem in " $iwhome\eventsubsystem " and modify or delete some file and then Restart the event subsystem.
I don't know how I can "Stop and Start evensubsystem" Who know tell please. or type sample command just for this.

Which platform?
Which version of TeamSite?

If you have a search around devnet, there are known issues with the size of this file.

Just stop TeamSite. What platform. On Unix it is /etc/init.d/iw.server stop

In Windows, this is a separate service. Go to the SERVICES GUI and just stop the service -- better yet, disable it. Then, you can delete the db file.

Environments:
(1,2) TS6.5, TS6.5SP1 on W2K3
(3) Vignette V7 Portal on Solaris 9

My TeamSite is TeamSite version 6.5 and SP1
Base On Windows 2003 Ent
Size of openjms.db (03/01/06) is 6 GB.
I don't know. Why It's very big size.

Go into Administrative tools --> services and set the service to me manual. Then go into your file system and delete the large file.

IWHOME/private/bin/iweventsubd stop
