How to make XML Applications work with xCP 2.x ?

Hello experts,

Does anyone knows how to make XML Applications work with xCP 2.x?

It seems xCP 2.0 isn't compatible with XML Applications :

There is no way to configure XML Applications with xCP Designer
When importing an XML file, it's not possible to choose which XML Application to use
When exporting (or checkout) an XML document (associated with an XMLapp), the XML Application configuration is not applied

What about xCP v2.1? Doesn't it fix this limit/issue?

The release notes don't specify that the XML Application is discontinued. Is it?

I found some workarounds to retrieve data from an XML document (or update data into it) using a steless or stateful process. But to deal with chunking requirements, it's much more difficult.

I would like to avoid custom developments to do something that was possible in previous versions.

Any clue ?

XML applications are not currently supported in xCP 2.x.

We'll be launching a new Enhancement Request System soon. If that feature or any other is important to you, please log the enhancement in the new system when it's available (hopefully by the end of August).

As this is 2014's post, I thought of checking if XML Application is supported on current version of xCP? How do I get more information about this?

We have been eagerly waiting for this support from last 2 years.

Hi JKK,

Unfortunately, this feature has not been a priority for xCP product team. The only way to make this higher priority is to get more customers of xCP AND xml to submit enhancement requests.
