Is there a way to collect statistics on the number of web pages on a website using Teamsite 5.5.2 on Solaris?
Something like:
Number of pages for News Article Page: Press Releases, Announcements, Special Bulletins
Number of pages for Overview Page: Landing Page, home page, index page
Number of pages for Topic/Standard Page: Subject oriented web page. (Default type of page.)
Number of pages for Special: sitemap pages, search pages
Total Pages:
Assumptions :
This count only includes html pages, not applications, attached files, graphics, etc.
Intranet : Total number of pages does not double count pages that are also listed in the index under different titles.
Intranet : Count does not include the 10+ nuclear sites, 40 news articles and 120+ Topic pages that were added after the snapshot was taken on 7/22. Estimated number of pages added - 175.
Intranet : Pages under 'special' include the topic landing pages, the home page (or the , the 6 topics/10 articles on the home page) index pages, or the search pages (or any other ancillary pages) may add up to 30 pages.
Intranet : News articles are often deleted after they are no longer needed, the above count only lists active news articles.
Authors not double counted. Verified that Editors are unique, real people who have been granted rights to approve content.
Many organizations have trained backup editors. This contributes to the total number of editors.
Intranet : The same editor may have rights for multiple sites, but not were not double counted.
Intranet : Many of the Author-only users are from IT (50%), and IT has 2 Editors.
I know that its a bit too much and I doubt that Teamsite 5.5.2 has the capability to generate such kind of report.
