Import problem on 5.5.2

Greetings all,

We are using TeamSite 5.5.2, IE for Win 6.0.2800 and Java v1.4.2_05

When clients use the Import function it sometimes fails to list all the files in the folder they try to import from. Some files are listed, but just not all. It is intermittent, and it is not specific to any user or file type or time of day! The only consistent behaviour seems to be that clients are looking in directories that contain large numbers of files.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

We are thinking it might be a memory issue with the Java applet. Any thoughts/suggestions?

This one has been answered a few times in this forum... please search
the archives. In essence, you need to either upgrade your TeamSite install (best
option, because 5.5.x has reached end-of-life...) or downgrade to an older JRE,
or just use the MS JVM.

Check the Compatability Matrix if/when you do decide to upgrade; that will list
which version(s) of the browser and JRE are recommended.

Thanks Jason - I tried searching the archives, but couldn't find much that seemed to relate to our situation. Maybe I am just not technically skilled enough to read between the lines! This problem has only just started happening and the machines in question have not been upgraded, so we figured it must be a problem that didn't have anything to do with the versions of software we are running.

I will get our technical people to get into it.

Upgrading TeamSite doesn't look like an option in the near future so we're going to have to look at the JVM.

That link you put in the post doesn't work for me - is it to a restricted site or anything that would stop me from getting to it?
