D2 Service override for customizing user creation in D2

We have a requirement where in we are trying to achieve following functionality.

In User creation process we want to create ACL, And Folder for user which will get created.

We tried to achieve this by creating plugin and overriding D2CreationService but while creating user this service does not get called.

So which service should i override to achieve above functionality. which will get called while creating User with D2.

Are your user objects dm_user or sub type of dm_user?

Hi,

As far as I can see you should extend class D2DialogService.

In there you override the validDialog() method, because that is called when you click OK.

Inhere you add an if-statement dialogName = 'DmUserDialog'

And there you can handle your custom features.

Can you please tell me , Is it possible to have custom property page for user creation process in D2, If possible then how to achieve it.

Because Currently My configuration is not working for this case.

1) I created custom property page for dm_user

2) created context for dm_user

3) configured these in matrix

I tried the same procedure with custom type by inheriting dm_user, That also does not work.

Please Help me on this.

Technically any object in D2 can have a lifecycle, so if you create a custom user object type and add a property to track the lifecycle state on the new type you should be able to add a lifecycle method to do this. Try these steps

1. Create cutom user object type

2. Create lifecycle with one state and your custom method to the state actions

2. Create creation matrix with your new type and apply the lifecycle

I did not try this before but I think it is worth giving a try
