Xplore for Metadata search

Hi,

We have set up Xplore in our DCTm environment. Our user facing application is Taskspace 6.7Sp2 and we use folder content templates to enable users to search and view documents.

Since few of our searches are performing very slow, we want to see if our application responds better if the queries to populate the folder contents are directed to the index server (xplore).

I see that FTDQLs are forced to our explore server but am still wondering if there is a way to force normal dqls also to be executed against xplore instead of the DB.

Is there a way to force normal dqls issued to the content server to be executed against the explore index server instead?

It is totally impossible to force normal DQL to be performed at xPlore side. DQL is a subset of SQL and it's naturally done at DB side.

The requierement is to force our taskpace app queries to Xplore instead of the DB. We currently use folder content templates to search and view content.

That is totally wrong point. xPlore internally uses XQuery (http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery/) and it is possible to translate DQL to FLWOR XQuery (at least I do not know DQL-statement that could not be translated to XQuery)

There is no way to translate back xQuery to DQLs. As mentioned, any you can get the underlining xQuery for any search from application itself.

Thank you for your kind answer. What i want to say it's only that you cannot deactivate natif DQL to be performed at Xquery side.

I already know that it is possible to translate DQL to XQUery.

I do not think it is possible to fire full-text search from a folder content template in Taskspace. The plan is to go for a search template if needed.
